The starting point
The challenge
Religious education needs answers people can trust. A general-purpose chatbot can give confident answers that no source supports, which is not acceptable when people rely on it to learn.
The solution
What we built
Built retrieval over a curated collection of Islamic texts, indexed in Pinecone, so answers come from trusted sources.
Delivered the chat experience in Chainlit, with authenticated user accounts.
Added conversation monitoring with LiteralAI.
Integrated the assistant with the platform's Webflow website.
Built the iOS and Android apps, which bring the assistant to phones alongside prayer times, a Qibla compass and prayer reminders.
